This quirky YA Contemporary will take you back to your first high school boyfriend/girlfriend and remind you of all the uncertainty that came with it. The Seven Torments of Amy and Craig is a uniquely written contemporary that takes you back and forth between the past and present, from the first break up to the last break up, and the people you’ll meet along the way.
Craig is your typical teenage boy who loves dungeons and dragons, and comic books. He is the awkward kid with the awkward friends who never thought he’d get the popular girl, the smart girl. Craig is such a fun character to read because he speaks without thinking, has a love/hate relationship with his twin sister who just so happens to be the complete opposite of him, and finds himself in a relationship he never thought would happen.
Amy is on the road to valedictorian of their high school and has the smarts to go to any college she chooses. She looks like she has everything on the outside but at home she doesn’t feel like she meets her parents expectations, and this is why she excels herself so much in her academics.
Take a journey through the ups and downs as Amy and Craig try to navigate the crazy world of teenage love while also trying to figure out what they want to do with their futures. There are also many many laughs along the way with touches of that teenage angst.

I loved Craig! I also really enjoyed the way the story was told, and I swear! This would have been a 5-star read for me had it not been a doomed love story.

I loved him too!! I kind of liked the fact that they don’t end up together. I think that’s different than the usual live happily ever after. It was such a fun book and the tone of the writing was perfect! There were so many hilarious moments & Craig’s inner monologue was the best!

I liked that I was warned they don’t end up together, but I am an HEA person, and will always want that.

I usually want that too but I think knowing from the beginning softened the blow & made it unique. ☺️
