Steph’s Questions

What would you do if you were invisible for a day?

If I were invisible for a day I’d sneak onto a plane and fly somewhere I’ve always wanted to go, within the U.S. of course due to time constraints, and then I’d sight see for free before catching a flight home.

What was your favorite movie as a child?

My favorite movie as a child was pretty much every Disney movie out there, but especially Beauty and the Beast!

B&B

What is your favorite kind of blog post to write?

I’ve learned to love writing reviews. I was intimidated by them at first because I worry I’ll spoil something or come off too harsh in some cases. I’ve decided not to review books I don’t give a high rating on as I don’t think it’s fair. There is so much negativity in the bookish world these days that I don’t feel the need to contribute to it. I like to celebrate the books I love not highlight the ones that I don’t.

If you could commission any author to write a book for you, who would you choose?

Oh man. This one is a tough one! It’d definitely be a tie between Sarah J Maas, Leigh Bardugo, and Victoria Schwab. Who doesn’t love a good fantasy with high stakes, a bit of darkness, cunning, and friendships to last lifetimes?

Is there a talent or skill you don’t have, but which you did?

Writing. I’m an avid reader but have never been good at writing. I’m not creative enough to produce any kind of stories like those that I read. Having the talent to create worlds would be so much fun!

What is your least favorite book?

Hm. This one is a tough one. It would probably have to be Roseblood. That book was just a bit too strange for me.

Any random subject/fact/phenomenon that fascinate you?

True Crime. I am addicted to Investigative Discovery and follow a few Podcasts that I love. You can find me watching Snapped, The First 48, or Cold Justice, or listening to Sword and Scale, The Vanished Podcast, and The Thin Air Podcast. I majored in Criminal Justice and find the human psyche to be so fascinating, especially when it comes to criminals.

What was your favorite birthday?

My favorite birthday was my 24th birthday because it wasn’t just my Golden Birthday but it was my younger sisters too. I turned 24 on Sept 24th and she turned 21 on Sept 21st of the same year!  It was loads of fun to share my birthday with her. I will get to do it again next month for my 30th & her 27th.

What kind of music do you like to listen to?

I listen to mostly country, alternative, rock, and classics. I don’t care for rap/hip hop/or anything that involves screaming of any kind.

What book have you ALWAYS meant to get to, but haven’t yet?

Pretty much all of the classics. I’m not well versed in 99% of them. I need to remedy this.

If you could relive a day in your past, what would it be?

Hm. Right now it’d be my sisters wedding day. She got married in a 15th century church in Wales and then had her reception in a castle that has been converted to a Marriott hotel. Just being in the U.K. was already such an incredible time, it was absolutely perfect ending it on her big day. Check back with me after next October when I get to celebrate my big day. 🙂

        Aladdin

      4. Haha! Oh the rewind! I’m not sure mine still work but they look good on the shelf! I’m pretty sure my mom has a ton of them still too!

I’m not super creative either unless I really think on things! I’m getting better though.

  2. Omg a commissioned book by any of the authors you chose would be amazing. Also your sister’s wedding sounded like it was AMAZING. Does she live in or near Wales or did she travel there for her wedding?

      1. Yes. We fell in love with Moab two years ago and went back this summer. We even looked for houses prices with my husband. Who knows, one day maybe…
